About Us
Fighting Conch Kayak Rentals is a new business on The Forgotten Coast based out of Port St Joe, FL. We service Port St. Joe, Mexico Beach, Cape San Blas, Indian Pass, Wewahitchka, St. George Island, and the areas in between. Fighting Conch Kayak Rentals is owned by a fun family of 4 and new to the area. Amanda and Kevin grew up in Southwest Georgia and spent many days in the Florida panhandle when growing up. After spending 7 years in Oklahoma, it was time to get back to the southeast and closer to the beach. Our kids love nature and the water as much as we do, so we are always out and about in the bay or ocean. You will probably see us while kayaking! We want to make your rental a great experience and offer a more comfortable kayak with options to make it even better! The Premium Tandem Kayak is the step we took to offer comfortability to those who want to spend a longer day on the water or simply want more room.
ABOUT THE AREA:
Take an adventure in the Gulf of Mexico and Port St Joe Bay with Fighting Conch Kayak Rentals. Choose one of our fishing kayaks to partake in some of the best fishing in Florida, or our tandem recreational kayaks and spot marine life such as stingray, manatees, dolphins, turtles, manta rays, horseshoe crabs, seahorses, and so much more! Port St. Joe also offers a great scallop collecting experience during open season. Don't forget to look for our Florida Fighting Conch's!
When venturing out of the water, the Port St. Joe area offers a great dining experience at many of our locally owned restaurants and bars with locally caught seafood. Reid Street also has a great selection of sweets and treats that are locally made. Once your tummy is full, shop at the many boutiques and gift shops on Reid Street.
The Forgotten Coast Sea Turtle Center is also a great place to visit and learn about our local turtles, what we do to help, and what you can do to help while here on your visit. We are a leave no trace beach to assure our turtles complete their journey in nesting every year. Please be sure to clean up after yourself and fill in all holes before leaving your beach spot.
